The two most critical skills of being a mage are Arcana and Knowledge.
The number you have in you Arcana skill is how many points you have to invest in different(or the same) Paths.
The number you have in you Knowledge is how many points you have to invest in different(or the same) Schools.

Your number of maximum number of memorized spell can be found with this formula:
½ of your total school progress+ ½ of your total path progress = Number of spell you can memorize

Unless specified most 'support' spells have a 3x3 tile effect based on where the caster is standing or to put it another way a 5ft radius around the caster.

If you surpass the path requirement for a spell the fatigue cost is lowered, with a Wisdom Modifier of zero this reduction is 10%. For every Wisdom Modifier you have the reduction is improved by a further 5%, meaning if you have a 1 for your Wisdom Modifier the reduction would be 15% and so on.
