Bear
The bear may not be very bright but it is larger and stronger than most other creatures and gets along very well with all other beasts. The bear likes potatoes more than anything, so if you encounter a bear it is good do you have a potato to throw in the direction you were not running to. It is happened many times that a group of deer joins forces with a number of bears in order to attack a fortified town. The deer have the strong bears break down the gates. If any of the surviving people ever return later, they will find half eaten bodies on the streets and all potato stashes plundered by the Bears. During the winter to beer spends most of its time napping and will not bother anyone who is wise enough to stay away.

Bison
At one point it was the life-blood of every plains tribe, nowadays they are still hunted but have a lesser cultural importance. Unlike most creatures they avoid forests and instead choose to roam grasslands, their diet consists almost entirely of grass and slain men. They do not need to eat meat to survive but do so out of spite for the cultural abandonment.

Deer
This impressive looking beast has sharp teeth, large antlers and a sinister mind. Many hunters have tried to chase a lone dear through the forest only to find themselves surrounded by an entire herd. This never ends well, because the Deer is a very fast creature and shows no mercy to its prey. Even though deer are aggressive when they are hungry they are also very clever and seldom attack armed men unless they outnumber their prey. Contrary to what many people believe, Deer do not need to eat humans but they can survive entirely on forest berries and mushrooms.
