Backstory:
Lora was not one for emotions, and this was no different, this was war. The surface dwellers battles were destroying a clutch hidden away in a reef, and having been bred for battle, she was one of the sea to surface combatants dispatched. The battle however, did not go as planned, starting with the fact that the surface dwellers had superior firepower; their fire elementals and magics tore through the Kala-Mies front lines like they were made of kelp. Being one of the last to remain fighting, she tried to fight off a mounting force of raiders that seemed to grow stronger with each passing moment.

Finally hearing the call of retreat, she went to dive overboard and make her escape, but a fire blast caught her full in the chest, launching her through the other side of the second ship.

She awoke what seemed like days later. The reef was in ruins, the ships, mostly gone, except for the debris that was left behind. She, was on the sea bed, her armor in tatters. It took her a few minutes to gather her wits, but once she had, she set about looking for other survivors. After hours had passed and nightfall approached, she had found none. It occurred to her that with the reef destroyed, no other survivors, and possibly days of time having passed, her people likely thought the mission a failure and everyone dead. She couldn't return home, even if she did, she'd be an outcast. Taking note of the area, she found that a trail of oil on the water's surface followed the ships that had sailed off, likely back to land. She decided, if nothing else, she would exact vengeance for the fallen, and the eggs that were destroyed.

Taking up the armors of the fallen, and weapons from the waters of battle, she she decided to follow the path of debris the ships left behind to shore. It took four days of travel, but reaching the shores, she found the ships to have been repaired and long gone. But all was not lost, there were people here. Skulking around the outskirts of the encampment, she managed to steal a robe to hide in and pass herself off as a land walker. She spent the next few weeks learning more about the land dwellers and the raiders who had destroyed the reefs. It turned out these were not those people, thus, she had no quarrel with them and decided to leave them in peace.
